After having your enchanted wedding at Winery Road Forest, your magical evening can now find its happily ever after at our unique honeymoon suite called The Simon. A hop skip and a jump away, this beautiful, one of a kind, cozy hideaway, through the forest, is where you will find yourselves immersed in nature with breathtaking views of the idyllic and magnificent Helderberg mountain range. It’s the perfect finale where our couples can slip away for their first night together as newlyweds. Bask in the evening glow, submersed in the hot tub or just relax on the deck. You'll awake to the sweet symphony of birds calling. Your hearts will almost skip a beat whilst taking it all in.

​Rules:
Unregistered guests are not permitted. (Only 2 pax at all times)
No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
No party or events allowed.
Please keep The Simon clean. (If needed cleaning materials are provided in a
broom cupboard on the outside of The Simon on hot tub side).
Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
Please take care of the furniture as furnishing’s damages exceeding the
security deposit will be charged.
If you are not a guest of the wedding, please respect our Bride and Groom
and do not drive through the forest.
There is an alternative route.

Please respect our check in and check out times.
Check in times: 15H00 (optional 1 hour before ceremony commences).
Check out times: 10H00 (optional extra - book until Monday morning for an additional R1000 ex vat)
Early check in and check out times may be pre-arranged

Mini fridge:
Our mini fridge is a complimentary gift from us to you for your enjoyment.



WIFI Code:
Regrettably Wi-Fi has not yet been installed.
This provides quality off-the-grid time for love birds.



Turn down service:
Turn down service will take place during the ceremony.



Laundry:
No laundry services available.



Room refreshment:
We respect your utmost privacy and will not intrude at any time, therefore there will
be no room refreshment service available unless requested.



Parking:
Your vehicle is to be parked at the back of The Simon.
We don’t want to spoil your wedding photos which is why we keep vehicles out of sight.
Parking in our vineyards is prohibited.
Suppliers or service professionals are to park in our designated venue parking area.



Alarm:
After travelling through the trees, you will reach The Simon.
A lockbox is located on the outside on a tree on the left before you reach the brown stones.
A code will be provided to you on arrival.
Located in the lockbox is a remote.
The blue button allows both activation and deactivation of the alarm.

Water:
We have a beautiful freshwater spring that provides us with drinkable water on the farm.



Lights and Airconditioning:
We would really appreciate if you could switch off all lights and air conditioners when
you leave on check out or when you leave for an excursion, should you be staying for a longer period.



Hot tub blue bubble blanket:
The birds love the hot tub, and we feel it’s not to be shared on your special evening 
which is why we have the hot tub blue bubble blanket.
We ask you to please remove it before you get in and replace it when you jump out.
We cannot be held responsible should a feathered friend dare to join you or better yet, leave you a gift.



Operating the Hot Tub:
Remove the blue bubble blanket.
The tap is connected to a gas cylinder for instant hot water.
In order to keep the water warm a gas donkey is available.
If you look towards the mountain, you will find the donkey outside on the right of The Simon.
There is a white switch which will circulate the water with warm water if you want to linger longer.
1. Lift handle to open door at the bottom of the donkey.
2. Inside the donkey you will find a gas heater.
3. Behind the donkey is a little knob you turn anti clockwise to open the gas.
As you turn anti clockwise, light the burner at the same time.
4. Once you have reached the required temperature, switch off the gas at the donkey and switch the white switch on.
You can then top up by using the tap at the hot tub.
Kindly use the beautiful 100% cotton Turkish towels provided and not our white bath towels.
If for any reason you need to replace the water in the hot tub, there is a pop-up plug under the chair closest to the mountain.
The hot tub is amazing for relaxation and intimacy, so we hope you enjoy every moment of it.
Please remember that the use of the Hot Tub is at own risk.



Safety:
Your safety is of utmost importance to us and even though Winery Road Forest is our safe haven, 
we remind our guests to always take precautions.
Always lock your car.
 The rowboat is for your use to take for a romantic cruise and use thereof is at your own risk.
Lock the back door at night.
Arm the security system at night.
Always activate the alarm with the remote when you leave.
